The properties of ginger

Although commonly known as a herb, ginger is actually a rhizome, i.e. it is a stem which has grown under the ground's surface. Ginger contains molecules called zingerone which binds to pain receptors. Hence, while consuming it raw, you will feel a hot sensation on the tongue.

Hi Fathima,

As we state in the article, it is not a guarantee and you should bear in mind there are many reasons why your period may be late. If you are concerned there may be a reason why it is late (stress, pregnancy, underlying condition, etc.) then you should seek a doctor's advice. It is important to remember that a late period isn't necessarily the sign of something to worry about and may come on it's own.

Hi Ayushma,

It is very difficult to induce a period and these are suggested tips, but it will depend on the individual. Some find it works, others do not. We also can't diagnose, if you are long past the time your period should have come you should take a pregnancy test or visit a doctor. If you are wanting to induce it early, then you may need to exercise patience.

Hope this helps!
