If you think you have tonsillitis, you can try some home remedies to soothe the symptoms. If your throat ache doesn't go away for three days and it is accompanied by fever, you may want to consult your physician as you may require antibiotics. In some extreme cases, or if tonsillitis reappears more than three times per year, surgical removal of the tonsils may be recommended by your physician.
