The following table shows the content of simple carbohydrates (sugars) found in the fruit per 100 grams, which does not necessarily mean one piece. These values are for fresh fruit, we should know that mature fruit contains more sugar. And finally, remember that the value we're referring to is the sugar content, the value does not symbolize the amount of total carbohydrates.

Grapes. Grapes contain 80% water, have carbohydrates, vitamin C and glucose. It is a cleansing and detoxifying fruit that contains pectin which helps eliminate harmful substances in our body. A normal serving of grapes, 126 grams, gives our body almost 20 grams of sugar.

Bananas. Bananas contain 75% water and are high in iron. Besides having a high content of carbohydrates, they also have potassium, so it is a fruit which is used to replenish energy. Eating a banana is equivalent to eating about 17 grams of sugar.

Apples. Apples are rich in fibre. Like grapes, they contain pectin, a component that also promotes the dissolution of cholesterol and is a good weapon against diabetes. With a consumption of about 223 grams of this fruit, we are consuming about 23 grams of sugar.

Oranges. Oranges, ideal for colds because of their high content of vitamin C, are also very good for digestion. However, taking an orange is almost equal to consuming 23 grams of sugar.

Kiwis. The kiwi is commonly considered one of the most nutritious fruits. A kiwi can contain 100 mg of vitamin C, covering the daily needs for vitamin C of 60 mg. It is also rich in fibre, magnesium and is a good antioxidant as it provides vitamin E and polyphenols. Eating a kiwi of about 125 grams gives us more than 11 grams of sugar.
