For cases of gingivitis, chlorhexidine is often recommended, a different component. For this type of mouthwash you should use it every day, every time you brush your teeth, for a month. Don't use it for longer than this, as stains may appear on the gums or tongue caused by chlorhexidine. So always read the ingredients and/or active ingredients of the product.
