I have tried the Lidocaine patches on my back, both sides on my butt-back and they only last for about 5 hours even tho they say 12 hrs. I also take Ibuprofen and Aspirin, but they make me sleepy, which is good...I don't feel any pain when asleep. Other than those, I try to wrap my lower leg in a heating pad and wrap my upper thigh and leg as best as I can with the heating pad. Sometimes I kind of sit on it and all the time on low.
These all don't last very long, but when on , my pain is ok. I'm unable to exercise at all, just walk inside my home to get a few steps in. Doing the dishes (put in dishwasher) and making a sandwich, I have to stop and take a break half-way thru.
AND!! A few drinks in the evening/night doesn't hurt.
Thanks
