I've been plagued with a contact dermatitis on my eyelids, and upper lip for over a year. A dermatologist prescribed Triamcinolone Acetonide cream and Eletone a nonsteroidal, both of which I used sparingly.
They caused swelling and the affected area became crusty and itchy.
When I can across this article I reached into my spice cabinet for Thyme, boiled some in water. I soak a cotton ball and apply it to the dermatitis morning and evening. Within 2 days all symptoms are gone. The skin around my eyes is normal again, no 'stretched' out, crusty, red, itching at all. I keep the solution in the refigerator in between uses. The coldness also relieves the swelling. Finally relief, thank you.
